Between Spaces
Runtime: 14:00
Raised in a strict catholic home, Charlotte is haunted by guilt after losing her virginity, symobolized by a recurring scarlett stain that invades her daily life. As visions of dark angels blur the line of reality, she isolates herself from her best friend and clashes with her overbearing mother. In a moment of desperation, Charlotte confesses, transferring the burden of shame onto her mother.
Director - Drew Burns
Huntington, West Virginia based artist Drew Burns’
work explores the relationship between lived experience
and the post-internet art culture. Her mediums consist
of both videography and photography, in which she
expresses themes of reflection, hyper-specific
aesthetics, digital culture, and expiration. Specifically,
she finds video art and installation to be the perfect
catalyst for creating a visual representation of the
impact of internet culture in combination with an
analysis of what is and what has been. She is currently a
student at Marshall University studying filmmaking and
is expected to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree through
the University in 2025.
