Madison LaVigne is a student at Belmont University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Motion Picture Production. She grew up in rural West Virginia and strives to make her home state proud. She enjoys writing, filmmaking, playing drums, and dancing. After she graduates from college, she hopes to work in location and post-production sound.
Directors Statement
The inspiration for Flash Forward came from my uncle. He had a dream where he invented a remote that could fast-forward time. The only catch was that you could not reverse time. He began to use it to ignore his wife, but he used it excessively. He began to age rapidly until he was no longer alive in the dream world. His idea motivated me to write a dramedy based around the concept.
Flash Forward takes us into a laboratory, the home of Dr. Martin. There, he creates a remote that speeds up time, allowing him to enter it into a competition. After finding out his wife is pregnant and wants a divorce, Dr. Martin must decide what is most important in his life: fame and fortune or his beloved wife and baby boy.
The message I want to put into the world through Flash Forward is that time is limited. We must value what time we have with the people we love because tomorrow is never promised. It is a serious subject, but I wanted it to feel lighthearted by playing into the humor of the situation. I hope you enjoy my first film and remember to live life one moment at a time.
