In 1973, Marshall University started its baseball program and hired Jack Cook to be their head coach. When Hired, Coach Cook was promised that the university would build him a stadium but he never lived to see that happen. In 2023, a short two years after Coach Cook's passing, the university finally fulfilled its promise to the baseball program. It took 50 years for Marshall Baseball to get their own home stadium, a basic need for any team or program. How did not having their own stadium effect Marshall Baseball over time?
