A filmmaker for over 20 years, my short and feature films have been recognized by a number of festivals Including the Fantasia International Film Festival, Chicago Underground Film Festival, Temecula Valley Film Festival, South Carolina Underground Film Festival. Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival, and Midwest WeirdFest. My screenplay and teleplay work has been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, Bluecat, and the Filmatic Horror Screenplay, Screencraft, and Outstanding Screenplay competitions. I hold an MFA in Film & Electronic Media from American University and am employed as an Assistant Professor of Theatre & Film at Davis & Elkins College.

Directors Statement

A collaboration between writer / director Lonnie Martin and cinematographer Wesley Hunt, both of whom did graduate film studies at American University in Washington, DC, with additional cinema studies at FAMU in Prague, Czechia. The Lady Widow was filmed over four days and one night in north central West Virginia in the heart of Appalachia. Sound mixed in LA. Music composed in the UK.
